GLOBAL GR-100

This is one of the harder to find radios from Global. It was manufactured in Japan circa 1962. It is thought that this is the deluxe version of the Global GR-900 with one extra transistor (and diamond!).

This is a smart, handsome looking Global GR-100 for the metro-sexual pioneer of the early 1960’s! It features an under-painted vertical slide rule tuning dial with small red triangular civil defense marks. It also features a sparkling faux diamond centered inside a black star! It has two ‘Global’ cloisonné badges on the face and on the front of the speaker grill!
